The 'Abstractions' Series and the Impact of Generative AI on the Creative Process
The 'Abstractions' series represents my early exploration of generative AI to create thought-provoking and aesthetically stunning artwork that pushes the boundaries of traditional artistic expression.
During the 2020 lockdown period, I undertook a deep exploration into the nascent field of generative AI. In my quest to understand the potential of this emerging technology and the implications it could have for UX and the field of design in general, I invested my time in learning the programming language "N" and experimenting with a variety of machine learning techniques.
As I delved deeper into this field, I was struck by the immense potential of AI to create art that was both visually stunning and emotionally resonant. It was during this time that I began working on a series called "Abstractions," inspired by the use of AI to generate abstract artwork.
The process of creating each composition in the series involved using machine learning algorithms to 'seed' the artwork.
